Sarang began his career as a product engineer in Ahmedabad, India, fixing industrial machines. His passion for sales and product marketing soon led him to bring an innovative AI-driven industrial vision product in the Indian market. This journey sparked a series of entrepreneurial ventures, ranging from seasonal mango businesses and Airbnb arbitrage to a boutique crypto and equities investment firm. However, Sarang realised that his true purpose and impact needed to be much greater.
In the months leading up to his graduation from Duke University, Sarang was experimenting with a natural herbal blend from India that yielded miraculous results for his skin issues. Next? User Interviews! 150+ detailed discussions with prospective customers into skincare problems and the current products on the market made Sarang realize the huge market gap and the immense potential of introducing cosmetics made from these centuries-old, proven herbs to Western markets along with personalized skincare consulting and supplementation. This led to the creation of Skinkarma in May 2024.
